A Giving Day Message From the Dean’s Leadership Council
Dear fellow Gators,
Each of us and each in our way rose to meet challenges these past few years. We persevered thanks to the family, friends, and institutional foundations that sustain us. The powerful difference people can make when they lend a helping hand has never been more apparent. And now, on February 16th, we celebrate the power of generosity on UF’s 5th annual Gator Nation Giving Day.
In varying degrees, our university and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences have always been factors in our resilience. Through two world wars, political upheavals and, yes, even pandemics, UF has been a steady beacon of strength. From the carillon bells ringing out from Century Tower to the roar of passionate fans in “The Swamp” to the work going on in our libraries, classrooms and laboratories, UF has enriched and enlightened not only us, but our state, our country and, yes, even our world.
As generations of alumni have supported the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and passed down its rich heritage to us, it is now our chance on Gator Nation Giving Day to ensure that the college will stand strong for future generations. Your support, regardless of the amount, is vital to ensure the depth and breadth of a Liberal Arts and Sciences education remains steadfast.
Here’s How You Can Help!
1. Bookmark this link and make a gift to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences on Giving Day. (Every dollar counts!)
2. Encourage your family, friends and colleagues to do the same by sharing how the college has made a difference in your life. Alumnus Matt Jaeh shows you how to create a short video here.
3. Watch our progress on the leaderboards — and celebrate by scrolling and posting the #AllForTheGators hashtag!
I hope you will join me — and all the Gators who have given before — by making a gift to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, which lies at the very heart of our great institution. With your investment, we have the chance to unlock potential, inspire excellence, and expand access to higher education, ultimately creating a better world for all.
All for the Gators!
