Nationally renowned pollster to keynote UF’s campaigning conference

Woman in red topNational pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson will headline the University of Florida’s “2024 & Beyond: Insights and the Future of Campaigning” conference on February 4, 2025. Panelists will explore the critical outcomes of the 2024 election cycle while setting sights on the road ahead for U.S. politics—including the pivotal 2026 Governor’s race, Congressional midterms, and the 2028 presidential election.

Attendees will gain invaluable insights into the future of political campaigning through a dynamic mix of panels and informal networking sessions, offering a front-row seat to the conversation shaping the political landscape. Panelists include a mix of scholars, seasoned practitioners, and respected policymakers will tackle pressing issues like voter turnout trends, demographic shifts, innovative polling methods, and the evolving role of technology and media in elections. Students are especially encouraged to join this opportunity to connect, collaborate, and learn from experts in the field.

The event is free and open to the public, and will run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Emerson Alumni Hall on the UF campus. No registration is necessary for the all-day forum; the keynote luncheon, however, requires registration to reserve a spot.

This conference is presented by the Department of Political Science, the Bob Graham Center for Public Service, and the Hamilton Center. Their collective support underscores a commitment to fostering informed political discourse and education.

Keynote Speaker

Kristen Soltis Anderson is a nationally known pollster, speaker, commentator, and author of The Selfie Vote: Where Millennials Are Leading America (And How Republicans Can Keep Up). She earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Florida in 2005, and is a Founding Partner of Echelon Insights, an opinion research firm advising corporate and government leaders on polling, messaging, and Millennial trends. A political contributor to CNN and The New York Times, she also leads focus groups for the Times’ “America in Focus” series and has appeared on programs like Meet the Press and Real Time with Bill Maher.

About the UF Political Campaigning Program

The University of Florida’s Graduate Program in Political Campaigning is a two-year program of study leading to a Master of Arts degree in political science. The degree fuses practical political campaigning tactics with academic knowledge and features a distinguished group of alumni including Congresswoman and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, former Congressman and now president of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association Tom Rooney, and some of the nation’s top political consultants like David Rancort of Southern Strategy Group, Dave Beatty of Hamilton Campaigns, and Michael Cohen of Cohen Research Group.
