Professor Clifford Will is Awarded the Albert Einstein Prize by the American Physical Society

Professor Clifford Will recently received the biennial 2021 Einstein Prize from the American Physical Society (APS). The APS cites Professor Will and his co-awardee Saul Teukolsky (Cornell University and California Institute of Technology) for their “outstanding contributions to observational tests of general relativity with theories of gravitational waves, astrophysical black holes and neutron stars.”

In addition to serving as Distinguished Professor of Physics at the University of Florida, Will is also Chercheur Associé at the Institut d’Astrophysique de Paris and the James S. McDonnell Professor Emeritus at Washington University in St. Louis. He is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, a Fellow of the American Physical Society and a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Professor Will is also the recipient of the 2019 Albert Einstein Medal by the Albert Einstein Society in Bern, Switzerland.
