UF Physics Forms Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Alliance (UF Physics IDEA)
The UF Department of Physics formed its Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Alliance (Physics IDEA) in August 2020. The mission of Physics IDEA is to foster a safe, inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible atmosphere for all who participate in the department’s educational and research activities, especially those from marginalized groups.
Physics IDEA is committed to monitoring the departmental climate, raising awareness and appreciation of differences, and providing a platform where these issues are addressed. It seeks to build a culture where all persons recognize the benefit of their diverse backgrounds as essential to the identity of the department and its success.
